Maternal and Child Health

Focuses on reducing perinatal health disparities. A healthy pregnancy is one of the best ways to promote healthy families in Mecklenburg County.

Provides care management to support families with children ages zero to five, who need access to health care and social supports. 

Provides care management services for high risk pregnant women. 

Provides early childhood intervention in our community as part of the statewide NC Infant-Toddler Program.  

Provides case management of in-home services that assist eligible disabled adults to live safely in their homes with a support system and avoid placement in an institution.

Public Health offers a comprehensive, evidence-based assessment service for children from birth to age 3, including postpartum group therapy for new mothers.

Provides a home visit by a Registered Nurse (RN) to assess mother and baby.

Trauma & Justice Partnerships is comprised of 4 distinct programs with one shared mission: Health and Safety for All. Our TJP programs maximize our public health impact by leveraging partnerships to broaden our reach, provide a critical safety net for vulnerable populations, and increase our ability to serve the community when they need it, where they need it.

Public Health's Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program provides basic nutrition services to eligible pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants and children up to age 5.
