Who We Are
Mecklenburg County Public Health Department’s Community Engagement programs and initiatives have made a continuous effort to develop and implement a health and wellness strategy that can change the odds for Mecklenburg County residents. Our program strategy includes authentic community engagement and targets areas in the community with the greatest needs.
We provide an innovative approach to promote department-wide programs, services, and initiatives to Mecklenburg County residents. Our vision is to create equitable pathways for Mecklenburg County residents to enhance their quality of life.
What We Do
We are a newly constituted office. As we refine and reimagine our program, we are trying to focus our broadband efforts on:
- Training on best practices in Community Engagement
- Training on how to implement a Community Engagement framework to guide your community targeted program or initiative
- Training on how to increase your community program's or initiative's impact/effectiveness through the application of a Community Engagement-centered approach
Beyond resourcing tables, we cross-collaborate on events, cross-promote events, and facilitate sessions.
