Village HeartBEAT (Building Education and Accountability Together) is a faith-based community engagement initiative organized to reduce risk factors associated with chronic disease in Mecklenburg County by investing in faith-based organizations as mutual business partners to adopt effective and sustainable policy, system, and environmental change strategies to enhance healthier lifestyle choices, develop tobacco-free sites, and implement sustainable physical activities and healthy food options.
