QPR Suicide Prevention Instructor Training (English)
The ReCAST II program is looking to expand access to QPR Suicide Prevention classes and is seeking to train new instructors. This certification course trains instructors to teach QPR for Suicide Prevention to their community. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, Refer - 3 simple steps that can help save a life from suicide. QPR teaches individuals to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. A QPR Suicide Prevention workshop typically lasts 1-1 1/2 hours and can be delivered in person or virtually, in English or Spanish.
To be eligible for this training, you must attest to the following:
1. You agree to offer QPR Suicide Prevention training at least once per quarter (4 times per year) through September 2026.
2. You confirm your commitment to offering QPR Suicide Prevention Training quarterly by signing the ReCAST II MOU (Memorandum of Understanding).
3. You will identify audiences and locations for your required courses as per the MOU.
4. You will also be willing to facilitate classes offered through the ReCAST II program with full understanding that you will not receive compensation.
5. You will ask participants to complete the ReCAST II Post-Training Survey.
6. You will complete the Facilitator Report Form after each course to document it for ReCAST II reporting purposes.
